    Torque Ripple Minimization in a Switched Reluctance Motor Drive by Neuro - Fuzzy Current Compensation
    ABSTRACT

    ​The switched reluctance motor has been widely in use in many industry and consumer applications
    owing to its simple structure and low cost. However, the performance disadvantage lies in torque ripple
    caused by its inherent doubly salient structure and non-linearity characteristic of core magnetic flux. This
    paper present a torque ripple reduction method, in which a compensating current based on Neuro-Fuzzy
    algorithm is added to the output of PI controller of the controlled switched reluctance motor. Good
    results achieved in the process of simulation show the merit of the method and prove the prospective
    application into various switched reluctance motor drives.
