Based on your reading of Chapter 4, submit an example of a moral situation depicting the marginalization of those not included in the U.S. moral community found either in your own experience or from newspapers, magazines, or movies. Briefly (no more than 2 paragraphs) explain why you think the situation you are describing is an example of U.S. moral community exclusion. You should look in newspapers, TV news, or magazines for examples of cases where distinctive groups of U.S. population are marginalized within the U.S. moral community. For example, during World War II, Japanese immigrants were placed in confinement camps, in clear violations of their basic human rights. Use the concepts learned in chapter 4 to explain why cultural relativism is used to condone this kind of violation.
