REFERENCES I. INTRODUCTION Vietnam is a country of festivals and ceremonies. In all part of our country, there are a lot of festivals and ceremonies through 4 seasons. They play an important role in Vietnamese life, not only for spiritual but also for entertainment. Some of them express traditional culture in society. We had many assignments about different topics. In this assignment, we will show you a lot of information about an interesting and meaningful ceremony. That is Celebration for Longevity. Our assignment contains five main parts: Introduction, Body, Conclusion, Recommendation and References. A lot of important information will be given in Body. The Celebration for Longevity is a special event not only in family having the elderly people but also for relative and society. It is usually held at the beginning of Lunar Year or the birthday of the elderly people. We consider that cerebration is an occasion to remember our parents and grandparents’ merit. Moreover, we would like to memorize descendants about the old people. We should honor their merit as well as their experience. The elderly people regulate a large depot of experience, so when we inherit them, it is easier to face with real life. On the other hand, Longevity means good fortune; therefore, this is an event to congratulate on their old age. In my opinion, this ceremony is really meaningful because it is not only a traditional ceremony but also a beautiful culture. It expresses the emotion between people in Vietnamese society. Our group has four members: Tran Huong Thao, Tran Thi Thu, Nguyen Thi Tu and Nguyen Thi Trang D. We are very happy if you have any more supplementary information about our assignment.
