    CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION
    1.1 The practicalities of the thesis
    In the economy of the countries, the world in general is up to 90% of small and medium enterprises contribute significantly to the economic development of each country. In Vietnam, Thang Loi Textile - Garment Joint Stock Company constantly growing both in number, size and growth, contributing a large role in the industrialization and modernization of the country, contributing actively in the process of growth and economic development of Vietnam.
    Vietnam joined the WTO have opportunities and challenges for companies under pressure to improve competitiveness of products, the brand and the human resources. In particular, the human resources is considered a primary competitive advantage of companies, is a valuable asset in helping companies improve their competitiveness and performance of its business. According to previous studies (Pfeffer, 1998, Huselid, 1995, Guest 1997, Hartog and RM Verburg, 2004, Singh 2004) showed that practices of human resource management have an important influence to the performance of the company. But in Vietnam, almost no research and surveys on specific quantitative relationship between the practice of human resource management and performance of the company. Most companies were not interested and has not invested to improve the system of human resource management.
    Therefore, this study was conducted to explore the practical scale of human resources management at the Thang Loi Textile - Garment Joint Stock Company and measure the impact of the practices of human resource management results activities within the company. I hope that research results will help this company understand more precisely the impact of practices in human resources management in company, which has completed the affair of human resource management to improve the fruit of their business activities.
    1.2 The Objectives
    The goal of thesis to helping the Thang Loi Textile - Garment Joint Stock Company have an accurate view about the importance of human resource management. At the same time, it can serve as important documents refer to the company to better utilize its human resources, contributing to the strategic of human resource development. Since then, helping the company to sustainable development in the future.

    1.3 Objects and scope of the research
    The object research is the human reality of the Thang Loi Textile - Garment Joint Stock Company.
    The scope research is the entire of the Thang Loi Textile - Garment Joint Stock Company.
    1.4 Research Methodology
    The mainly research methods in this thesis are the statistical method, described, analyzed data. Besides, the scientific method is also applied in the dissertation as systems theory, experimental methods.
    1.5 The methods of research
    Methodology for research is drawn from the specific, historic, comprehensive and developing viewpoints. Based on the methodology and statistics which are compared with the criteria and average data of Industry, region and world to analyze and evaluate the task of human resources management at Thang Loi enterprise.
    Constructing the investigation sheet and conducted in practice to assess the level of satisfaction of employees in Thang Loi enterprise.
    Statistical, analysis and synthesis methods are used primarily. Based on theoretical basis and practices to develop solutions to improve efficiency and management of human resources at this enterprise
    1.6 The structure of the study
    The structure of this theme includes the five chapters as following:
