ENERGY-AWARE MULTIPATH ROUTING FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKsnergy-saving routing, which makes a longer lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), is a promising
research topic. Multipath Routing (MR) and Energy-Aware Routing (EAR) are two critical proposed
algorithms for energy-saving routing. Multipath Routing provides a greater resilience in the presence of
failures, high reliability, and less flooding frequency. Energy-Aware Routing utilizes the spreading data in
the network. However, both algorithms do not take full advantage of paths whose available energy are high
and low cost as well as do not utilize the paths which have less energy before they fail. Aiming at these
points, we propose a new algorithm for energy-saving routing for WSNs to avoid the above obstacles, called
Energy-Aware Multipath Routing (EAMR). The proposed algorithm makes a high performance of spreading
data in network. In addition, with EAMR, paths with low energy will be used up before they are broken.
