About this book This book is about what you can achieve when you combine the powerful ingredients of coaching and emotional intelligence (EI). It’s a fresh approach to what can sometimes become a mechanical process and by that we mean people adopting just logical thinking and process to coaching. A large amount of energy goes into hiding emotion, especially in the workplace, and yet this provides the real powerful essence of who we are and what we achieve in life. We each have three brains (more on this later) and when you combine the three brains of the coach and the three brains of the coachee, magical things can happen – a definite case of 3 + 3 = 10! While the book touches on the skills and knowledge that you need to be a great coach, it importantly explores in detail the a itudes and habits that are the elements which really impact performance.
