This presentation was developed as a teaching aid with the support of the American Institute of Steel Construction. Its objective is to introduce the user to the construction process of the structural steel frame for a common building type, a four story office building.

The presentation documents the construction of the steel frame for a case study building. Photographs were taken throughout the construction process of the structural steel frame including detailing, fabrication and erection. Data from the project was also compiled including plans, schedules, specifications and other details. This information was brought together to create the following presentation.

This slide show is presented from a construction management perspective. In this sense, it contains information on material procurement, sequencing, site logistics, schedules, and equipment, as well as technical aspects of the project.
